Xcode 3.1 is Live! [Updated]
Xcode 3.1 is now GM, the long/first in beta version of Apple's IDE is now final an available in your ADC Account.
Chris Espinosa posted this to the Cocoa-Dev list earlier today:
"Xcode 3.1 is now GM and publicly available to all Macintosh Developer Program members: online, Select, and Premiere. The nondisclosure restrictions covering Xcode 3.1 during its development are no longer in force. The Xcode 3.1 distribution is for Mac OS X development only; it does not contain the iPhone SDK or any other information restricted to members of the iPhone Developer Program and covered under that nondisclosure agreement.
Section 5.3 of the iPhone Development Agreement remains in force at this time, and will so remain until iPhone Developer Program members are specifically and personally notified by an authorized representative of Apple.
In English: the xcode-users list is now open for discussion and support of Xcode 3.1, but not iPhone development. Sorry I don't have better news for you right now."
Please note the iPhone NDA is still in force... even dog knows we've had too many people on Cocoa-Dev asking iPhone questions, people you're wearing out the list Mom's cut & paste abilities...
[Updated]
If you are a member of the iPhone Beta program and have installed Beta 8 you won't need to download the Xcode 3.1 release as you've already got the latest and greatest, even the build numbers are the same.
