Storm chasing season is upon us...

Well as one does after a hot sweaty day at work, I went out in the storm last tonight to catch some lightning with the new camera.

I spent most of the night experimenting with different techniques and ended up with some pretty nice shots. Interestingly where I would have used a Bulb mode with EOS 3 I found that I was able to get much more satisfactory results using a fixed 4 second exposure. Of course I realised that using a cable release to keep the shutter open was a hang-over from film days only as the storm reached its end but no probs there will be more storms along this year :D

While chasing the storm I ended up in Oberon so I thought I'd
snap off a shot of the Carter Holt Harvey Mill.
