Digital camera's suck/So, I tried to get my panorama printed...

Well, that's a little miss leading, really they are great, its just that when you want a photograph, a real live printed on glossy photo paper through a photographic process copy of your photo then things aren't so cool.

I know one day we'll all have cheap effective dye-sub printers that will print any size photo we want and we'll be wishing they printed those new trendy holographs but for now I just wish it was easier...

Our two camera stores in town have neat little kiosks that are great if you want to print of a set happy snaps but jeeze try and do anything even slightly different and you have a good chance of pissing of the owner of the store. Sad really - what happened to "the customer is always right" philosophy in the retail sector?

Anyway it took me about 2 hours of searching through Google, YellowPages etc to find a couple of companies that could do a photo print of the pano from my last blog. Eventually I found these guys at BlowUp who actually replied to their quote form and were generally very helpful. So anyone who wants a poster sized copy (2310 x 300 mm) just send me A$180.00/US$155.00 and I'll get it run off for you and post it out. :)

Oh, hey there is some upside to digital camera's, I did manage to snap this shot of the local Canola fields this morning on the run to work.

Canola Days

Till next time folks, keep your eye on the ball, your hand on the wheel and your feet on the ground. This way you won't fall over, run off the road or get hit by the ball :D
